Pre/Post Cupping Care
Before Your Cupping Session
Taking care of your body is crucial, especially when you're gearing up for an incredible cupping therapy session. Here's a little secret: water is your best friend. Hydrate like a champion before and after your session. It's going to help your body flush out those nasty toxins, making you feel even more fabulous.
Now, let’s talk about what to avoid. Think of cupping as a gentle, loving therapy for your skin and muscles. So, skip any aggressive exfoliation and give your skin a break from shaving for at least four hours before your session. Your skin will thank you!
Who Should Skip Cupping?
Cupping isn't for everyone, and that's okay! If you’re undergoing cancer therapy, have had a heart attack in the past six months, are sunburned, or are pregnant and haven't had cupping before, it's best to hold off. Have questions? Reach out to us. We’re here to help!
After Your Cupping Session
You've just had your cupping therapy, and you're feeling rejuvenated. Fantastic! Now, be kind to your body. Avoid strenuous workouts immediately after your session. Your body needs a little TLC right now.
For at least the rest of the day, try to stay away from caffeine, alcohol, sugary foods and drinks, dairy, and processed meats. Instead, keep hydrating with plenty of clean, pure water. Your body will love you for it.
Want to pamper yourself even more? An Epsom salt bath with half a cup of baking soda is like a warm hug for your muscles. It helps ease any discomfort and assists your lymphatic system in moving those toxins out. Go on, treat yourself to a relaxing soak—you’ve earned it!
